Poc’ED’hontas

TT: We have to start going to bed earlier. Do you realize that you were so giddy and delirious last night that you started quoting Ratcliffe’s lines in Ed’s voice? That’s some disturbing shit.

KK: *Ed voice* “The gold of Cortez!”

TT: Oh my gosh.

KK: What?

TT: “Dig a hole, dig a hole”, though.

imageKK: Oh.

TT: Oh.

TT: Are we doing this? I think we’re doing this.

It’s something no one asked for, but you’re all getting it anyway: a horribly long-winded, illustrated post recounting the night me and my boyfriend stayed up past 3:00am rewriting the entirety of Pocahontas as an Ed, Edd n’ Eddy AU. In our defense, it’s probably the most flawless crossover in existence. Just sayin’.

“This guy — this guy right here.”

“This guy — this guy right here.”

Just another day, and another scam gone wrong.

The base of a business card / logo I designed for my mama. She’s procrastinating in telling me what kind of font and text she wants on it, so I guess it’s still incomplete at this point.

Thoroughly fed up with waiting for the right thing to say, Naruto ungracefully flopped himself down on the moss-covered log and gave the other boy an awkward, embarrassing and entirely inadequate pat on the back. Sasuke stiffened at the initial touch, but didn’t pull away. It was uncomfortable for the both of them, and to Naruto’s dismay, the soft, repeated drumming of his fingers on the Uchiha’s back seemed to scream, ‘there, there’. But perhaps because the sentiment was acted rather than spoken, or maybe because Sasuke was too dazed to make a fuss, it slipped by without comment.
They sat like that for a while, the chirping of birds and the gentle rustle of leaves the only sound, Naruto’s pats morphing into a flat-handed rub. They sat, and for a precious moment in time, they forgot themselves.

… So I did an illustration for a fic I wrote a few weeks ago. I didn’t think it was possible, but this proves I’m only getting dorkier.

Alright! This is my first ever batch of commissions, so I figured I’d start with subject matter I knew inside and out. <3 I tried to keep prices low, but they will likely go up in the next couple of rounds (if anyone’s actually interested, that is :P), so get them while they’re cheap!

Single Pokemon sketches: $5

 • Each additional Pokemon: $3
 • Additional background details and/or Pokemon accessories: price negotiable depending on complexity

Single Pokemon paintings: $15

 • Comes with complimentary simple background
 • Each additional Pokemon: $5
 • Additional background details and/or Pokemon accessories: price negotiable depending on complexity

Full illustrations:

If you would like to commission me to do something a little more involved (like a full-on illustration), we can negotiate a price based on how elaborate your request is. :)

Will not draw:

Sexually explicit content or excessive gore. (I am fairly comfortable with blood and minor gore, so long as it’s nothing too extreme.)

Please note: I am only taking Pokemon commissions at the moment. Trainers are not currently being offered, though it is possible that they will be in the future.

** Payment in CAD and by paypal only — sorry for any inconvenience.

If you would like to commission me, please throw me an e-mail at mcumbra@hotmail.com, with “pokemon commissions” or something of the like in the subject line. Don’t be shy about messaging me with questions, either. :)

Thank you for your consideration! <3

I just don’t know what you’re thinking…

A few of those Pokemon requests from the other day. <3

A joint present for two of my very best buds. Their birthdays are within four days of each other and, coincidentally, one of them is very attached to Espeon, and the other to Umbreon. :) That worked out nicely.
Happy Birthday, Brooke and Michelle! <3

Finally got around to making a photoset of all the fan-illustrations I’ve done for Taz’s beautiful fic, The Conscience of Eurydice. I had wanted to do an illustration for the third and final chapter as well, but it’s just so jam-packed with imagery, I feel like ten illustrations would barely be enough to cover it.

This was my first time attempting something like this (I’m still fairly new to storybook style illustration), and it was a lot of fun / good practice. I’m a little disappointed by the lack of stylistic consistency between the first two in the set and the last two, but I guess that’s something to improve on for next time — I’d love to try doing one for A Hymn of Empire sometime.
